Flash Fiction Writing Workshop (OLLI Speakers Bureau)
In this interactive program, Delaware author Jean Youkers will lead a discussion of the characteristics of flash fiction. Participants will practice writing a short piece, from prompts and imagination, to share with the group.
Jean Youkers writes fiction, poetry and humorous nonfiction. Her work has been published in the Rehoboth Beach contest anthologies, Delaware Beach Life Magazine, Broadkill Review, and the News Journal; and she is the author of two novels set in Rehoboth Beach. Jean earned her BA and MBA at Penn State University and was employed in social service and marketing roles in a variety of settings before retiring. At OLLI, she’s taught Flash Fiction, Humor Writing, and Creative Writing Workshop classes.
