Falls Prevention – Helping Caregivers Prevent Falls
Join Lisa Fellin, Injury Prevention Coordinator with Christiana Care, for a free educational seminar at South Coastal Library on fall prevention strategies for caregivers. This program was created to educate first time and veteran caregivers in ways in which they can implement falls reduction strategies in their home and community. Additionally, medications related to falls, community resources, balance programs, and resources from the National Council on Aging and CDC are shared. All are welcome. Registration is appreciated but optional.
This library program was planned to supplement library materials and services that promote community-based health literacy and to foster fitness and healthy habits within individuals.
