DE Authors Forum Presents A Special Calling: The Joys (and Challenges) of Writing Children's Books

DE Authors Forum Presents A Special Calling: The Joys (and Challenges) of Writing Children's Books

From rhyming picture books to young adult fiction to nonfiction books
for all ages, children’s publishing spans a wide range of ages and
interests. Still, there are some common skills, techniques, and
questions that apply to all types of children’s writing. In this
interactive workshop, we’ll explore some common questions: How do I get
started writing for children? How do I find an agent or publisher? What
resources are available to help me? Should I join a writing group? What
about commercial publishing vs. self-publishing? We’ll do some
activities, discuss some tips and tricks of the trade, and have lots of
time for questions and discussion. Newbies and experienced writers alike
will enjoy this session as we talk and learn together.
