The Life and Music of Nat King Cole
Join Vincent Varrassi and Jeff Cooper with Notes on the Beach as they celebrate one of the most popular performers of his generation, Nat “King” Cole. In honor of Black History Month, we will be learning about the life and music of African American singer and jazz pianist Nat King Cole. Over Cole’s 45-year life he proved to be one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time, the most popular singer of his generation, and a role model for African American achievement. Favorites such as Route 66, Mona Lisa, It's Only a Paper Moon and Unforgettable are just some of the songs you will enjoy interwoven with stories of his incredible talent as both an instrumentalist and beloved singer. Registration is appreciated. You may register in-person, by phone or online. (302)858-5518
