Join us at the South Coastal Library for an extraordinary session with Erica Lessie, showcasing her remarkable "Cellos of Unusual Shape" in celebration of the upcoming Cellofest in Bethany Beach, DE (June 9-16). We will learn about the arrival of Scandinavians to the upper Midwest and how they transformed the psalmodikon (their native instrument), into a new type of folk cello.
This free program is perfect for adults, teens, and older kids and offers both an educational and cultural experience to attendees. Let's experience these extraordinary instruments up close and discover the stories behind each cello's design while enjoying the diverse sounds that these unconventional instruments can produce.
Registration is appreciated but walk-ins are welcome.
