Join historian, writer and professor, Mike Dixon, for a free two-hour workshop on getting the most out of your searches in Newspapers.com. Funded by the Friends of the South Coastal Library, you now have free access to Newspapers.com with a South Coastal Library Card!
In this workshop, we will go beyond basic searching, as Mike Dixon, gives us tips, tricks, and strategies to use when searching through the database. Newspapers.com can be an important resource for both genealogy and historical research. He will also touch on some other databases and places to look for historical digitized newspapers.
In the second half of this workshop, patrons will have time to search newspapers.com on their own, conversing with other patrons, and asking for help as needed. Limited amount of laptops available. We suggest if possible to bring your own smart device (laptops, tablets, phone).
