Shakespeare Summer Acting Intensive

Shakespeare Summer Acting Intensive

Students enrolled in the Shakespeare Summer Acting Intensive will participate in thirty hours of intensive training in text work, scene study, and performance preparation by professional actors and master teachers with expertise in Shakespearean performance practice. Sadie Andros, theatre teacher at Cape Henlopen High School, who trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and has performed on professional stages regionally, in New York City, and in London, will lead the intensive. The intensive will culminate in a public performance of Shakespeare’s work. This program is intended for highly motivated students in grades 9 through 12 with a strong interest in Shakespeare. Students will be expected to work independently outside of class sessions to prepare for a public performance.

The Shakespeare Summer Acting Intensive is funded by a grant from the Lewes Public Library Spoken Word Society.

Registration is required.
