Gettysburg: One Woman's War

Gettysburg: One Woman's War

Professional actress Michèle LaRue performs three selections from Elsie Singmaster’s 1913 Gettysburg: Stories of the Red Harvest and the Aftermath, published on the centennial of the battle that changed the course of our Civil War.

With townswoman Mary Bowman, we travel the emotional and physical terrain of 50 years: from the cannons’ first roar to the grief and devastation that follow; from the promise of Lincoln’s visit and commemoration, to the healing only time can bring.

A Chicago native and longtime New Jersey resident, Michèle LaRue is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. For the past twenty years, she has toured nationally with dozens of "Tales Well Told." Visit her website at http://michelelarue.com.
