Kicking off the library's 2023 Banned Books Week celebration, the Lewes Public Library, ACLU of Delaware, Groome Church, and Browseabout Books invite community members to attend a special mural unveiling in the library's teen wing.
Renowned local artist John Donato will unveil an original mural he and Lewes Library patrons created celebrating reading, the freedom to read, and the beauty of the Lewes community. Join us to be the first to see this vibrant, one-of-a-kind masterpiece featuring classic banned book titles and local historical landmarks. Plus, cast your vote for your favorite banned books in our first-ever Tournament of Banned Books!
All are welcome. No registration is required. Light refreshments will be served.
