Barn Hill Preserve

Barn Hill Preserve

Summer Reading may be ending, but the fun continues on September 9th with Barn Hill Preserve, home to over 35 species of exotic animals including two-toed sloths, red kangaroos, otters, an aardvark and more!

Barn Hill Preserve provides fun and educational programs featuring their animal ambassadors. They strive to share their knowledge and animal ambassadors with the community in order to educate the public about these amazing animals and conservation.

For this program, Barn Hill Preserve will bring 5 of their smaller animal ambassadors (such as a kangaroo joey, hedgehog, bearded dragon, tortoise, etc.) with them to each library and will have a roughly 45 minute presentation with time for questions and some interaction with the animals depending on the group size so as not to overwhelm the animals.

During their program, participants will learn about things such as the animal’s diets, habitat, social behaviors, defenses, etc.
