Invasive vs. Native Plants: Why Plant Native?

Join local landscape designer and nature consultant, Chantal Bouchard, for a free talk on gardening. In this talk, she will discuss the difference between native and invasive plants, and the importance of planting local native plants. Learn about some of our beloved natives such as (but not limited to), blue star, butterfly weed & viburnums in our coastal gardens. Join us to learn some well kept native gardening secrets. Registration is appreciated but optional.

This program is designed to promote interest, exploration, and education in gardening and environemntal science which can supplement science-based collections, libguides, and other library services. Science is key for broader understanding of the world around us, and the study of science encourages analytical thinking, conservation, development of technology skills and mathematics.
