She joined us 2 years ago on Zoom for a virtual meeting during the pandemic but now you can finally meet her in person!
Emmy-winning actress and cultural icon Lynn Whitfield joins the Wilmington Library for an in-person conversation about her life, career and accomplishments.
Lynn Whitfield is an American actress and producer. Whitfield is best known for her performance as Josephine Baker in the HBO biographical drama film, The Josephine Baker Story, where she won a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries and a movie along with a Golden Globe nomination. She is also most recently known for her role as Lady Mae in TV series Greenleaf.

Personal cameras are allowed at this event, however, guests must remain seated. There will be no walking around or standing in aisles etc.
The Wilmington Library has a photographer and audio/visual coverage for live streaming. If you are not one of our hired media professionals and have not been given permission by the library director to stand and walk around to take photos or record, you must remain seated with your camera.
