OLLI FLUTE CHOIR SPRING PERFORMANCE
The OLLI Flute Choir consists of nine flutists who synchronize their instruments to bring you their spring program of works by Telemann, Delibes, Gounod, Foster and the contemporary composer and arranger William Holcombe. The selections range from classical to folk and popular with titles such as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Funeral March of a Marionette,” “Camptown Races,” “Canonic Sonata” and “Pizzicato Polka.”
The OLLI Flute Choir is a small group of flutists passionate about their instruments and who enjoy playing music in an ensemble. Part of OLLI's musical course offerings for many years, the group welcomes new members and puts an emphasis on improving technique, intonation, tone quality and ensemble playing.
Pam Finkelman and Gretchen Cox regularly teach music classes in the University of Delaware’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program in Wilmington.
