Conquering Health Information Online: A Workshop for Older Adults

This hands-on workshop will give you the skills and confidence you need to find trustworthy health information online for you and your family. You’ll learn how quick and easy it is to get authoritative, current, and unbiased information while avoiding misinformation and scams. Find answers about a diagnosis, treatment, medications, and tests. Basic computer skills are recommended. This program does not provide health recommendations or assist with insurance questions.

The workshop leader is Dana Ravyn, PhD, MPH, CHIS, a certified Consumer Health Information Specialist at Lewes Public Library. Dana has over 20 years of experience as a medical writer and physician educator.

This workshop is sponsored, in part, by a grant from the Network of the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.
