Makerspace Monday!

Join us for a Makerspace Monday where you have time to create your own project. We take a step back and let you create whatever inspires you. In this non-structured drop-in program, you bring our own project or unwind and relax in one of our "maker" stations. No registration is needed at the following "maker" stations  (registration is only required for CRICUT appointments):

  • Knitting & Crochetting Station - Make a decorative button(s) for yourself, relatives, or friends. All materials provided.

  • Adult Coloring Station - Unwind from the chaos, and let your artistic side blossom with easy and fun coloring. Socialize if you want with others or take some silent time to relax. All materials provided.

  • Jewelry Making Station - Didn’t make it into a jewelry workshop? No problem, make your own bracelet, earrings, or necklace with our jewelry kit. All materials and tools supplied.

CRICUT APPOINTMENTS - Call to schedule an appointment. (302-858-5518). Registration opens 2/1/2023.
Looking to make a custom project?

  • Perhaps you want to create a welcome sign?

  • Or you want to make a custom canvas tote bag?

  • Maybe you need to make wedding invitations or thank you cards?

  • You may wish to use our CRICUT machine. Learn more about the Cricut hereYou will need to provide your project base (examples: t-shirts, wooden sign, canvas, bag, card-stock, etc.) and any specialty vinyl or colored vinyl (basic vinyl colors available at no cost) --- We will then use Cricut Design Space to help find you the image you would like. And don't worry we have trained staff to help you operate the Cricut machine and press.

  • In order to assist you with the Cricut and so you have time to make your project, appointments are REQUIRED for use of the CRICUT. You will have 30 minutes to browse design space and print your materials. Register for a CRICUT appointment via phone. (This does not count towards your three craft class quota)

This program is designed to empower community members to tap into creativity, artistic literacy, and expression while also creating opportunity for positive social interaction, idea exchange and relaxation. Social activities such as crafts also have been shown to slow cognitive decline as we age and can assist seniors with concentration and dexterity.
