OnlineWriting Through: Storytelling toward Social Justice
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a presentation featuring poet, speaker, actor, and author Carlos Andrés Gómez. This writing workshop challenges participants to use personal experience as a means of grappling with social inequity and exclusion: whether it be as a means of identifying and bearing witness to examples of discrimination (interpersonal or systemic) or providing an opportunity to examine instances of being complicit with or responsible for prejudice and discrimination. This session is generative, allowing participants the opportunity to voluntarily share their work, with facilitated support and guidance throughout.
Escritura Interior: Narrar cuentos orientadas a la Justicia Social Este taller de redacción desafía a los participantes a utilizar
experiencias personales como un medio para lidiar con la inequidad social y la exclusión.
This program is made possible with a grant from the Arsht-Cannon Fund and in partnership with the Delaware Hispanic Commission, Festival of Words, Delaware Library Association, Dover Public Library, Milton Public Library, and the Route 9 Library and Innovation Center.
