Drawing on his many years of award winning audio processing experience, Lani Spahr will give an overview of the techniques and problems associated with giving 100 year old recordings a new and noise-free life.
Lani Spahr is well known to Coastal Concerts audiences for his charismatic and very informative pre-concert talks. In addition to being an expert and virtuoso on period and modern oboes, Lani has garnered international recognition with his restoration of the recorded legacy of Sir Edward Elgar and many others. Recognition and awards have come from the BBC, Fresh Air with Terry Gross, The London Sunday Times, Gramophone, Fanfare, MusicWeb-International and other classical music publications.
He is a member of the Board of Coastal Concerts and is an international award winning audio engineer, writer, and producer.
