Join The Nature Generation and the Lewes Public Library for a No Planet B Conversation on Healthy Oceans, presented by Mr. Rusty Brainard, former National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Officer and founding Chief of the Coral Reef Ecosystem Division at NOAA’s Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center.

The Nature Generation and the Lewes Public Library are launching No Planet B Conversations, a new initiative to engage people in environmental discussion. This speaker series addresses some of the important environmental issues of our time, such as climate change, healthy oceans, pollution, environmental regulation, recycling, clean air and water, to name a few. Throughout the year, The Nature Generation and the Lewes Public Library will host No Planet B speakers online to provide their unique environmental experience on specific topics. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the speaker and participate in a facilitated conversation with others regarding the topic at hand. The hope is these conversations result in real learning and elicit constructive conversations on the environmental topics of our time.

Recorded conversations will be available on The Nature Generation website after the sessions.

The Nature Generation is an environmental nonprofit that inspires and empowers youth to make a difference in their communities as stewards of the environment. We reach our nation’s youth through innovative programs in literature, science, and the arts. Our mission to Read Green, Think Green, and Act Green drives all NatGen initiatives. In 2024, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary of action and of honoring the best in environmental literature for children and young adults through our nationally recognized Green Earth Book Award. NatGen also offers small grants to organizations and individuals that use Green Earth Book Award books in a project at a school, museum, or community group. We are passionate about protecting our planet and strive to provide scientific-based environmental information to young people through these award-winning books.
